Christmas has come knocking in July for the merry crew at Astra! First up, a jolly round of drinks in the lounge, followed by a festive spread at the Bondi Tratt with all the holiday fixings - ham, turkey, and the works! Then it’s back to the Astra for dessert and dancing! Ho Ho Ho!

Join us for a special exhibition celebrating the photography of the late Les Sharp (Daniel Sharp’s father). Although a research scientist by profession, Les had a passion for travel and captured beautiful moments from cultures around the world. His family is gifting these photographs to residents in the hope they will be enjoyed for years to come. If you choose to take one home, you're welcome to make a voluntary donation to Hatzolah Sydney, a charity close to the family's heart. Come along to browse the collection, enjoy drinks and nibbles, and support a wonderful cause.

On our third Soup Thursday, we celebrated Bastille Day with a classic French onion soup. This week will be a hearty chicken and vegetable soup made by one of our residents.

Our last trivia afternoon was such a success, we thought we’d do it again and again! This time around, we are adding a Guess Where element. Please submit a photo of yourself traveling to the office. The person who identifies the most locations wins a bonus prize. RSVP now!

Last week, residents enjoyed a delicious bowl of homemade pumpkin soup, with some getting creative by adding fresh coriander and a swirl of coconut cream for an Asian-inspired twist.
