Technology Workshop - Keeping in Touch

In our final technology workshop of the year we will be looking at how to use Skype, WhatsApp, FaceTime and other resources to keep in touch with family and friends online. There are so many ways of keeping in touch to choose from these days, so we will explain a bit about the main ones and how they work. Many of these companies allow you to talk for free to other people with the same technology, so it’s a great tool for people who have friends and family all over the country or all over the world.

Christmas Party!

We are so looking forward to enjoying a wonderful Christmas party with residents and friends. Beginning in the lounge with pre-dinner drinks at 5pm, we will go to the Tratt for our Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, and then return to the Astra for dessert and live music. It is always a really happy occasion, full of food, laughter, fun and usually some energetic dancing.

We will have music and banter from John Campbell this year, with his renditions of traditional Christmas tunes as well as some classic pop and rock numbers. It will be a surefire way to kick off the festive season with a bang.

More details to follow, but if you are interested in attending all or part of it please let the office know. Friends and family are, of course, welcome.

It’s that time again! Yes, it’s the race that stops the nation…and this year we will be stopping to appreciate the event in all its glory with food and drinks and watching the build-up in the lounge from 1pm.
